December Dust

Pies, Pies, Pies
Chocolate, Strawberry, Cherry, and lemon.
They dance around the globe.
Singing a song that no one knows
This is how their day goes.

With a trot in their step they leap out of the little pie beds
And hop to the kitchen
Eat out of the cookie tin
And shower in the oven
Dressed in their best granola crust
Run out the door say their goodbyes then off to the bakery

Work all day then off to bed
With one of their favorite meals in their stomachs
With dreams of pies getting married or a nightmare of humans eating Thanksgiving dinner

Wake up to bright city lights
Go in to a room they sit on a table painted to perfection

Thanks to Wyne Thiebaud they are still here today a faint memory
An oil on canvas style painting will hang where we will remember those days.
